1. Collection of Information

This includes your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, and device location. Payment transactions are processed securely through our third-party payment processor (see Section 13 below) and we do not store your full payment card details on our servers. This helps us provide a safe, efficient, smooth, and customized experience.

You may browse certain sections without providing personal information. However, access to some features requires you to provide information such as your name, contact details, and vehicle details. Once provided, you are no longer anonymous to us.

We may automatically track certain information including your IP address, browser information, URLs visited, and usage behavior. This data is analyzed in aggregate to improve our services and user experience.

We use cookies and similar technologies to analyze web traffic, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety.

We collect personally identifiable information such as name, email address, and phone number when you create an account. We may use your contact information to send offers based on your interests, subject to your preferences.

When you create an account, we record the approximate city and state where you signed up, rounded to about one kilometre, using your device location if permitted or otherwise the IP address of the signup request. We keep the IP address. This is used for operator analytics and is deleted with your account.

We use personal information to provide requested services, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, collect payments, enhance safety, enforce our terms, and customize your experience. You may opt out of marketing communications where applicable.

2.2

We analyze demographic and usage data to improve our services. Your IP address and location may be used to diagnose server issues and administer the portal or App.

2.3 Location Data

With your permission, the App collects your device's precise location to show nearby EV charging stations on a map, provide navigation assistance, and improve station recommendations. Location data is used only while you are actively using the App or as permitted by your device settings. You may revoke location permission at any time through your device's settings, though this may limit certain App features.

Optional surveys may be conducted to collect demographic information. This data helps tailor content and services to your preferences.

3. Sharing of Information

3.1

We may share personal information with our affiliates and corporate entities for fraud prevention and service integrity purposes. Such entities will not market to you unless you explicitly opt in.

Personal information may be disclosed if required by law or in good faith to comply with legal processes, enforce policies, or protect user safety and rights.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your ChargeX account and associated data at any time. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information, wallet balance, and transaction history within 30 days. Some records may be retained for legal compliance.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at services@chargexindia.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers promptly.

12. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:

• The duration of our ongoing relationship with you and the provision of services to you
• Legal obligations that require us to retain data for a certain period
• Statute of limitations under applicable law
• Ongoing or potential disputes or legal proceedings

13. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate and improve our App. Each service may collect and process certain data as described below:

13.1 Razorpay (Payment Processing)

All payments within the App are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. When you make a payment, Razorpay collects your payment instrument details (card number, UPI ID, or wallet credentials) directly. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by their Privacy Policy.

13.2 Sentry (Error & Crash Reporting)

We use Sentry, provided by Functional Software Inc., to monitor app stability and diagnose technical issues. Sentry automatically collects crash reports, error logs, device information (model, OS version), and performance data. This data is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely to identify and fix bugs. Sentry's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

13.3 Google Maps (Map & Location Services)

The App uses Google Maps SDK to display charging station locations on an interactive map. Google may collect anonymized usage data related to map interactions. Google's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

13.4 MSG91 (OTP & Authentication)

We use MSG91 for sending one-time passwords (OTP) to verify your phone number during account registration and login. Your phone number is shared with MSG91 solely for the purpose of delivering OTP messages. MSG91's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

13.5 MaxMind GeoLite2 & GeoNames (Approximate Location)

This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.
